It may be that gender identity is worthy of a serious public debate, but I question whether the issue should rise to the level of becoming a primary agenda item in the presidential campaign. Our country has significantly more pressing problems that must be resolved. The discussion of gender identity directly touches perhaps one third to one half of one percent of the nation’s population, but a vocal group of mostly liberal activists and the media cannot comprehend that the vast majority of Americans can become victims of discrimination. Should the North Carolina law governing this subject be overturned by illegal pressure from the administration and other like minded individuals, once again our national culture will be irreversibly distorted. Enough said on this subject.
