Congratulations to the Brits on the results of the Brexit referendum in the UK. The British people have demonstrated courage and intelligence in their choice to exit the EU. In the final analysis, it is a clear statement that Britons emphatically desire to retain their sovereignty and culture; which has served them extremely well for centuries. The disturbances in the financial markets I believe are little more than a knee-jerk reaction that will in the short term correct itself. Cameron did the honorable thing when he announced this morning that it is his intention to have a new Prime Minister in place prior to the Conservative convention in October. Beware European Union; dominoes is not just a tabletop game! Cheers to our friends!
Once again Trump has allowed his uncontrollable impulses to hastily dictate his policies (if in fact he has any). The comments Trump has made about Judge Curiel are outrageous, but more importantly, are clear evidence that he does not understand the separation of powers, so clearly expressed in our Constitution and the long established concept that the judiciary is an independent arm of our government. His view that Indiana is part of Mexico is also of concern. A party leader and potential president of the United States that obviously suffers from extreme verbal diarrhea should be alarming to the electorate (but let’s leave the uninformed electorate for another post). I am a committed member of the #NeverHillary persuasion and could not possibly ever vote for her. But that too should be left for another post. I have voted in every election in my adult life, but now find myself in a state of hopeless frustration. Help!!!
